Their repertoire consists of a mix of blues, ragtime, country blues, swing, Vaudeville and jug band music played using strictly acoustic instruments such ukulele, washboard, kazoo, resophonic guitars, a doublebass or a tuba. Over the years and after hundreds shows, they has become an established reality in the European music scene as part of the blues, ragtime, folk and country blues panorama.
Max & Veronica love entertaining the audience and keeping this precious musical heritage alive, faithfully reproducing its original sound whilst playing it with a modern twist.
Under the name of "The Red Wine Serenaders", they won the European Blues Challenge in Toulouse in 2013 and were selected artists at the 31st INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE, held in Memphis (TN) in January 2015.
The Red Wine Serenaders performed in Usa, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Norway, Spain, Germany, England, Italy and Poland.Veronica is also the first Italian artist ever invited to the Mustique Blues Festival ( 2012 and 2013), in the Carribean.
Their sixth studio album, “The Mexican Dress”, was produced indipendently with no recording label involved and recorded partly in the United States at Pacific Studios in Tacoma, Seattle by Mark Simmons, and partly in Italy at Suonovivo, by Dario Ravelli, also responsible for the the final mixing.
The result is an extremely varied job, with some original compositions as well as a handful of traditional pieces.
